Tucked away in quiet Marinwood, located off freeway 101 between Terra Linda and Ignacio, is the Marinwood Community Center. In addition to the creek side picnic area, pool and playground, the center offers a variety of programs for everyone.

An important part of the Center is the preschool, providing enrichment classes for children age two through five. All the preschool classes are small in numbers, allowing for personal attention and a calm environment as children move through the early years of learning.

Our Philosophy

We like to boast that we have an unusually large collection of toys and materials for our children. We feel that this collection offers tools for the children from which they learn and create continually. We rotate the toys to give new choices each day of attendance. Materials range from imaginative play assortments to many pre-kindergarten manipulatives. We like to make choices for these materials that will both challenge and intrigue the children.

Threes Together and the Morning School are each staffed with two teachers so that children may stay without their parents and be safe. We realize that some children may need parents close by longer than others and this we will support by welcoming your presence in the classroom.

We will handle conflicts between children by suggesting solutions to the children involved. We urge them to express their feelings and wants and we remind them of our expectation that they treat each other with care, as problems are being solved. We believe children do need suggestions and rules for resolutions. We support their need for fairness and being heard.
