Parent-Toddler Class

For children two years of age, our Parent-Toddler class offers parents the opportunity to come to school with their child, making friends, and having fun together. The Parent- Toddler class can be a wonderful way to introduce children to the ìschoolî experience. With a parentís one-on-one support, children will become familiar with being a member of a group and other related social skills. Learning to take turns, being careful of othersí feelings, verbally expressing wants and opinions to others, and showing care for work and play materials, are the areas of focus for children in this class. This class meets twice weekly for one and one-half hour sessions. The time is divided up to include play time, an arts and crafts project, a morning snack and a musical circle time. Class size is limited to 12 children with parents and is taught by Susan Press

Session One: Tuesday & Thursday, 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Session Two: Tuesday & Thursday, 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Cost: $135.00/month

Threes Together

Our Threes Together program is designed for three year olds to meet and play together as they learn to feel safe and ìat homeî away from home. Weekly themes such as colors, shapes, animals, or numbers, provide a basis from which daily activities are structured. We offer a wide variety of play materials to begin each school day. Arts and crafts, morning snack, story time, music and outside play are added to fill up the two and one-half hour class time. Threes Together is also limited to 12 children with two teachers so that we may be available to support the children as they learn to treat one another with gentleness and respect. We offer two sessions of this program. Session one is taught by Ceci Chiosso and Jenny Chan: session two is taught by Annette Raisedana and Cindy Kredo. A monthly visit from Linda Haumann and her guitar adds extra musical fun.

Monday, Wednesday, & Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

$195.00/month for two days/week schedule $290.00/month for three days/ week schedule

Marinwood Morning School

Similar in structure to our other classes, this program is geared to offer additional stimulation to the older preschool child. Children four years of age are treated to some delightfully creative toys and materials reserved just for this class. Activities revolve around weekly themes, as in the Threes Together class. Science, arts & crafts, music, story time, and outdoor adventures make this year of learning something special to remember. Class size for this program is 18 children with two teachers from our staff each day. Linda Haumann also brings extra music to the Morning School.

Monday through Friday, 9:30 – 12:30 $290.00/month for three days / week schedule $385.00/month for four days/week schedule

Early Pre-Kindergarten Sessions

An optional addition to our Morning School Program is the opportunity to attend two half-hour sessions a week where children are offered a more in depth focus on learning specific kindergarten readiness skills. Writing their name with the appropriate upper and lower case letters, letter recognition, counting and number recognition, rhyming, color mixing, shape identification and developing verbal skills are some of the areas covered. A phonics section in the spring helps children prepare to begin reading when they are ready and interested. Ceci Chiosso joins Debbie and Susan to provide a teacher student ratio of one to six for these Pre-K sessions.

Wednesday and Friday, 9:00- 9:30 a.m. $4.00/session
